The Travels of John Mandeville

The Book of John Mandeville weaves together the biblical, historical, and encyclopedic traditions of medieval Western Europe to create a complex vision of the world.  The exhibit explores The Book of John Mandeville under the following aspects:  the book itself; its author; its readers; the traditions it weaves together; and the tapestry of the world that emerges.
