The Psalter Map

A T-O mappa mundi, depicting the round world, with Jerusalem at the centre, Paradise above, in the uttermost East of the world, and marvellous (or monstrous) races along the Earth's margins. Above the round world, surrounded by the starred heavens and two censing angels, Christ blesses the world with His right hand an d holds an orb (symbol of dominion over the world) in the left hand. The orb itself is a T-O shape, like the map below. Parchment.
